It’s been such a fun ride with everyone. Am disappointed about the ratings, for me this drama should have surpassed 20% but i hope the entire crew gets nominated and recognized for something. Lee Joon Gi is too underrated and so is Kim Ji Hoon.
Hyun-hee says that she won’t date him if Jang-mi objects, though she points out that it wouldn’t be fair if she did, since she’s got two other men to choose between. His pretty smile isn’t getting him out of this one, and Jang-mi tells him to leave her alone and pass the message along to Se-ah. But Se-ah and Ki-tae’s mother overheard the last part of the conversation, and Mom demands to know what’s going on. Yeo-reum shows up and asks Jang-mi to eat with him, but she’s still angry and asks why she should. He just chirps with a cheery grin, “You said you like me!
Hope his character isn’t going to be like that throughout the entire 16eps! Not that i want him to end up with Jang Mi no matter how good looking or charming he is. I’m glad there are so many good dramas out now after that last group. Had no one to talk to about how awesome this drama is so thank you thank you thank you girlfriday and lollypip.

This episode begins to delve a little further into each character and what makes them tick, though each answer seems to lead to even more questions. We finally find out exactly what happened to Jang-mi to make her so terrified of being alone, and why Ki-tae is so determined to stay single. We even discover the reason why Se-ah has popped back into Ki-tae’s life after three years, and the answer is every bit as selfish and self-indulgent as you would expect. But these revelations are dealt out with a careful hand, and I have no doubt there’s a lot more to each story to discover. 16 episodes later Im so happy with this couple, Im going to miss them.
I think the amnesia card was well used here and it had greatly helped Hyun Soo rediscover who he was for the past 14 years and most importantly, who he IS. My heart went out to Hyun Soo when he felt jealous of the man Ji Won was looking for because he is not him. Hyun Soo could have continued lying to himself about how he feels, but I’m glad he chose to take a step out of his comfort zone especially after he realized he will be separated from Ji Won again. I initially has trouble watching Penthouse. It was highly reccommended so i thot i give a try. I was confuse in the beginning and was wondering why everyone love it.
My theory is that they had budget or scheduling problems. So much of the last three episodes was shot in the same location (the hospital), and they had minimal cast/extras. Then everything else (both proposals) happened on random street locations. It’s especially strange since this webtoon was fully written by the time the show was being created, so it’s not as if they didn’t already have a satisfactory ending that people enjoyed. I was also really disappointed with the ending. Like Grandpa’s disapproval felt so out of character for him especially since he was so accepting of Guem-Hi.

It immediately reminded me of The Dude in Me, a 2019 korean movie starring Park Sung-woong, Ra Mi-ran, and Jin Yong. I thought the drama would be a remake of that, but apparently not? The plot sounds very similar, though… It can not be just me but I, a gangster, became a high school student – is giving off serious deja vu vibes from the title alone. I am sure it was either the gangster became his younger self like in 18 again or he swapped with his son or was in his son’s class but it really is similar to something I have seen.
I may be in the minority but I actually feel 12 eps was good for this drama. Most of the situations were resolved in good time and nothing felt seriously draggy (minus the last two eps). The humour was fun, pacing was decent and storytelling fairly compact. If this had been 16, I feel the fun identity switch would have outstayed its welcome and there would be more misunderstandings and even more filler, etc.

Not sure why this comment does not show as my user, but NM. I feel the makjang-ness when watching this but I’m definitely intrigued at the same time. I hope there will be nuanced to each affairs & not have them be too similar. With so many plots, I hope the show can keep the momentum till the end.

I guess a sneaky clingy spoiled selfish ex as usual for a second lead isn’t too bad either. I don’t know if it’s the character itself or its the acting but something about her is really annoying me. oh well, it’s not like she’s that important to the main couple anyway. Such a satisfying ending to a solid drama. I have to admit the earlier episodes were my favourite, it went flat in the middle for me but the ending was done nicely. I cried when the three ladies cried when grandma finally let go of her daughter in law and cried again when mum offered to live with the other 2 ladies and left dad to go eat crap for all they cared.. I agree that the big weakness in this show were the second leads, Se Ah and YR.
She shows up at Hoon-dong’s restaurant drunk, and gulps down another beer. After three days of “submersion,” aka disappearing and cutting off contact, Hoon-dong thinks it’s safe to turn on his phone. But as soon as he does, it rings again, and he finds over 300 calls from Jang-mi.
I’ll just wait for reviews before I start watching. The leads have this adorable, zippy chemistry and Yun Woo Jin has just become my most recent obsession. That was the best sequence of the episode. The details they’re putting in are hilarious.
Instead of being grateful to Yeo-reum for covering for him twice, the chef gets angry and punches him. Appreciate your comments and insights LOllypip and GF. Love the stormy sky backdrop with the whole wedding tableau. Plus I’ve spent basically the whole drama admiring Han Groo’s fantastic legs. Thanks for sharing, Chandler and alcoholicbubbletea! Joo Jang Mi is exactly how I will remember Han Groo.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a drama with as amazing chemistry as the leads in Business Proposal. Not only the two couples have great chemistry but the friendships between the two male and two female leads felt genuine too. It’s so rare to find a full cast datingsitesreviews bursting with so much chemistry that it spills over to their characters and the whole show. I love the humour the show brings to the table like the parodies and friendship dynamics. But perhaps I’m really impressed by how well the director executed the script.
